Early Morning Big Rig Crash, Fuel Spill Slows I-95

New Castle – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a single vehicle crash involving an overturned tractor-trailer, according to Public Information Officer Master Corporal Jeffrey Hale.

Hale said the initial investigation has determined that the crash occurred this morning, Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at approximately 1:22 a.m., on I-95 northbound just south of I-495 northbound. As a result of the crash, the operator of the tractor-trailer was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The two right hand lanes of northbound I-95 approaching the I-495 northbound split are closed to traffic as the fuel spill from the tractor-trailer is cleaned up and the crash is cleared.
