Happening Now: I-95 Crash Clogs Traffic Near Newark

Newark – A multi-vehicle crash on I-95 SB near Route 896 has brought traffic to a crawl.

The Delaware State Police said they are currently investigating a three vehicle crash on I-95 southbound north of SR 896 which occurred at around 4:36 p.m. this afternoon. At this time it is unknown how many people are injured and the extent of their injuries.

I-95 in the area of the crash is now open. Commuters are advised to use caution in the area of the crash as crews are continuing to investigate the collision.

Reports from the scene indicate that a county probation officer was involved in the accident so the investigation will take some time.
