Police: Man Shot In Hand During Robbery Attempt

Wilmington – On Wednesday June 28, 2017 at approximately 8:25 p.m. Wilmington Police patrol units responded to the St. Francis Hospital in reference to a shooting victim.

Upon arrival to the hospital officers located a 40-year-old black male suffering a gunshot wound to the hand. The victim advised he was shot during a robbery attempt in the area of 9th and Jefferson Streets. The victim is currently in stable condition.
