Wilmington Man In Stable After Being Stabbed In The Back

Wilmington – On Friday June 16, 2017 at approximately 4:17 p.m., Officers responded to 7th & Jefferson Streets in regard to 911 calls of a male down, according to Wilmington Police.

Authorities said upon arrival, officers located a 37-year-old male suffering from a laceration to his back area by unknown means. He was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to Christiana Hospital via ambulance.

The victim is listed in stable condition. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a fitted style hat and a blue shirt. The investigation is ongoing; Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Joran Merced at 576-3637.
