Man Dies After Falling From The 24th Floor

Wilmington – At 12:45 p.m. this morning Wilmington Firefighters on the B platoon were alerted to a rescue from cardiac arrest as a result of a long fall, in front of 105 Christina Landing, according to Deputy Chief James Jobes.

Jobes said St. Francis EMS and Fire Department personnel arrived on scene of an adult male, pulseless and not breathing. Crews immediately initiated CPR and applied an AED.

Wilmington Police confirmed that the patient fell from the 24th Floor. The patient was pronounced dead by New Castle County Paramedics. The scene is still under investigation by the Wilmington Police Department.

Approximately 8 fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene. The following units responded: Engine 2, St. Francis EMS, New Castle County Paramedics, and Wilmington Police Department.
