Three-Alarm Fire Rips Through Townhouse In Bear

Bear – Fire crews from around New Castle County have responded to Paisley Street for report of a townhouse on fire.

Reports from the scene indicated that an off duty firemen was on scene and advising dispatch that heavy fire was coming from the back of the building. Arriving units found heavy fire and smoke and began to battle the blaze.

Crews worked to knock down the fire on the first floor and moved to the second floor, finding heavy fire in the attic.  Ladder crews climbed on top of the home and cut holes in the roof to get at the fire.

Reports are that one person received minor injuries.
