Rising Sun – Crews from the Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Company responded to Longview Drive in Cecil County, near Rising Sun, just before 11:00 p.m. for reports of a fire.
Responding units, which included 25 firefighters, found a 21’ Sea Pro Vessel & 16’ Triumph Vessel and 12’ Legend Aluminum Trailer on fire.
The firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control within approximately 10 minutes.
The fire was a result of the discharge of illegal fireworks, according to the Fire Marshal. The blaze began in the interior of the 16’ Triumph Vessel, added the Fire Marshal.
Maryland State Fire Marshal’s estimated the damage to be at $50,000.
