Middletown – At approximately 3:30 pm yesterday, New Castle County Paramedics, Delaware State Police Aviation Section, Odessa and Port Penn Volunteer Fire Companies were dispatched to the intersection of DuPont Parkway and South Main Street in Middletown for a motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics noted a 2 vehicle crash with 2 patients. The first patient, 19-year-old male, was found in care of emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) from Odessa Fire Company. The patient suffered injuries to his head and back. The patient was transported to the hospital via Odessa Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.
The second patient, 24-year-old female, was found in care of emergency medical technicians (EMT’s) from Port Penn Volunteer Fire Company. The patient suffered injuries to her head, arm and shoulder. The patient was transported to the hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter accompanied by Delaware State Police paramedic. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.
