Two Woman In Hospital After Route 13 Crash, One In Critical

New Castle –  At approximately 8:20 pm last evening, New Castle County Paramedics, Wilmington Manor and Good Will Fire Companies were dispatched to the intersection of South DuPont Highway and Llangollen Boulevard in New Castle, for a motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival New Castle County Paramedics 2 patients were found. The first patient, 51-year-old female, found in care of personnel from Wilmington Manor Fire Company. The patient suffered injuries to her ankle, arm and pelvis. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Wilmington Manor Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient is in critical condition at the time of transport.

The second patient, 22-year-old female, suffered injuries to her leg, pelvis and face. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Good Will Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.

Earlier reports that a pedestrian was struck during this incident were unfounded.
