Happening Now: I-95 Lanes Closed In Newark Due To Vehicle Fire

Correction: This cleanup was believed to be due to vehicle fire. The fire occurred on the other side of the highway. This story has been corrected here

Newark – DelDOT crews are have closed the shoulder and right lane of I-95 SB near Route 72 while they cleanup a vehicle fire that occurred earlier this morning.

Crews are removing contaminated dirt from the side of the road using an excavator. Expect delays for some time.
