Marl Pit Road To Close Aug 4 – Aug 9 As Part Of US Route 301 Project

Middletown – The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that Marl Pit Road will be closed at Summit Bridge Road (US 301) from 8:00 p.m. on August 4, 2017 through 6:00 a.m. on August 9, 2017 as part of the US 301 Mainline Project.

During this time motorists are advised to follow the posted detours and use alternate routes to travel to and from Marl Pit Road.

Through traffic along Marl Pit Road should use the following posted detours:

Motorists traveling eastbound on Marl Pit Road should follow Summit Bridge Road (US 301) to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn right, follow Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) to Cedar Lane and turn right and back to Marl Pit Road.

Motorists traveling westbound on Marl Pit Road should follow Cedar Lane to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn left, follow Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) to Summit Bridge Road (US 301) and turn left and back to Marl Pit Road.
