Wilmington Police Rush Man Shot In The Neck To Hospital

Wilmington – On 18 August 2017, at approximately 1:08 a.m., Uniform Services Division officer’s were on proactive patrol in the 1600 block of N. Washington Street when the officers heard a gunshot in the immediate area. As officers attempted to locate a scene, a shot spotter notification for the 1800 block of N Tatnall Street was received by 911 dispatch.

As the officers responded to the 1800 block of N Tatnall Street they located a 36-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot to the lower neck area. Officers then transported the victim to Wilmington Hospital Emergency Room for treatment. The victim is currently in stable condition.

A shooting scene was located in the 1800 block of N. Tatnall Street. The circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.
