19-Year-Old Man Shot And Killed On Sunday

Wilmington –  On September 03, 2017 at approximately 9:08 pm, Wilmington Police Officer’s responded to the unit block of W. 26th Street in reference to a Shot Spotter notification of gunfire, according to police.

Officials said arriving police officer’s located a 19-year-old male down in the block suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his torso area. The victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages and ongoing at the time of this release.
