Milford Woman Charged With Conspiracy, Shoplifting

Milford – On September 25, 2017 Milford Police arrested Sharon Williams, 42, of Milford, to complete a 2016 investigation that began with a theft of a credit card, according to Milford Police Spokesman, Sgt. Robert Masten.

Masten said in June of 2016 Milford Police began the investigation after the victim reported the theft of a card and suspicious charges on the card following the theft. As part of the investigation it was also learned Williams reportedly left one of the establishments with merchandise that was not paid for after the use of the stolen card was denied, said Masten.

As a result of this investigation a warrant was obtained for Williams. On September 25, 2017 Williams was contacted on a traffic stop on Liberty Way and taken into custody without incident. She has been charged with Conspiracy 3rd Degree, Shoplifting, Theft Under $1500.00, three counts of Unlawful Use of Payment Card, Attempted Unlawful Use of Payment Card, and three counts of Theft False Pretense. Williams was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $5000.00 unsecured. Ms. Williams is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas in November for an Arraignment.
