Newark –  On September 11, 2017 at 11:38 pm Newark Police Officers met with two victims, a 21-year-old non-University of Delaware student and a 23-year-old University of Delaware student, who reported that a subject in a vehicle had exposed himself to them, according to Newark Police Spokesman Fred Nelson.

Nelson said the victims stated they were walking in the area of Orchard Road and Amstel Avenue when the suspect pulled his vehicle up next to them. Both victims reported that the suspect exposed himself while seated in the vehicle and they contacted the police when he drove off, said Nelson.

Based on their description, a University of Delaware Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a matching vehicle in the area. The driver, Bruce J. Christian, 29, of Newark, matched the victims’ description and he was later identified as the suspect in this incident, said Nelson.

A warrant for Christian’s arrest was obtained and Christian turned himself in at the Newark Police Department on September 12, 2017 . He was charged with two counts if Indecent Exposure 2nd Degree and video arraigned in front of Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $200 unsecured bond.
