Incident 1 – On Sunday, 24 September 2017, approximately 4:53 pm, officers from the Wilmington Department of Police responded to the Wilmington Hospital in reference to a 26-year-old male, who arrived at the hospital by private vehicle, and sustained a single gunshot wound to his torso, according to police.
Officials said the victim was rushed to surgery and is listed in critical condition, therefore, he was not able to provide any statements to detectives.
Currently, the location of the incident is unknown. There was no SHOT SPOTTER alert regarding this incident.

Incident 2 – Wilmington – On Saturday, 23 September 2017, at approximately 7:49 pm, there was a SHOT SPOTTER notification for several rounds of gunfire.
Upon the officers arrival, two victims were located. One 35-year-old male victim sustained a single gunshot wound to his right ankle, who was standing in the block when the gunfire erupted.
The other victim, a 44-year-old male, sustained a single gunshot wound to his right foot, who was also standing in the block when the gunfire erupted.
Both male victims were treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics, then were tranported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital for further medical treatment. Both victim are listed in stable condition.
The suspect, an unknown male subject, wearing a baseball cap, was observed, by witnesses, to be running in a southbound direction on S. Van Buren Street.

Wilmington – Rescue crews , along with Wilmington police are responding to the intersection of of Beech and South Van Buren for reports of shots fired.
Arriving units have found two victims with gunshots to their lower extremities.
