Woman Inappropriately Touched, Robbed At Gunpoint In Store Parking Lot

New Castle – Delaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a female which occurred in the parking lot of an area Walmart, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Jeffrey R. Hale.

Hale said the investigation thus far has determined that the incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017, as a female customer of the Walmart, located at 117 Wilton Boulevard, New Castle, was entering the driver’s seat of her car which was parked in the lot.

It was at this time that a male suspect approached the victim’s car and prevented her from closing the driver’s side door, said Hale. He then displayed a handgun and demanded money from her, added Hale. The suspect then inappropriately touched the female before removing an undisclosed amount of money from her wallet as well as her cell phone, according to Hale.He then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured.

The suspect was described as a black male approximately 25-years-of age. He was 5’06” tall and was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black jeans. There is no further physical or clothing description available.
