New Castle – Rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, along with Delaware State Police have responded to Route 1 NB at the School House Rd Overpass for reports of an injury crash.
Reports from the scene indicate a white suv has crashed injuring at least one. Responding rescue crews were being prevented from rendering aid to a patient by another occupant of the vehicle, according to reports.
The first responding Trooper immediately requested additional Troopers to the scene. Troopers are searching the area for an undetermined item or items.
Route 1 NB appears to be shutdown as police investigate.
Update: 1:40 pm Traffic appears to be moving now but it’s at a crawl.
Update; 2:25 pm The scene is cleared and traffic is moving normally.
