Police, Family Searching For Newark Man

Update: October 8, 2017 – David H. Tymitz was located by the Edison, New Jersey Police Department on 10/8/17 at approximately 11:00 am.  Tymitz is in good condition and is currently being evaluated.

October 7, 2017– The Newark Police Department is currently searching for David H. Tymitz, a 27 year-old male missing from a residence in the Unit block of Locust Drive, Newark. On Saturday, 10/7/2017 Newark Police Department was contacted by a family member of Tymitz who reported that Tymitz made statements that caused concern for his welfare.

David Tymitz is described as a white male, 6’0” tall and weighing approximately 180 lbs. He may be wearing camouflage cargo shorts. He may be driving a brown Nissan Quest minivan with Delaware registration PC489719 or an unknown Delaware temporary registration. The vehicle reportedly has damage to the passenger side sliding door.

Police are asking anyone with information pertaining to the whereabouts of David Tymitz to call the Newark Police Department at 302-366-7111.

Tymitz is the same man that was arrested by University of Delaware Police on Sunday October 1, 2017 after he allegedly made a cutting gesture before chasing three students. He was charged with for menacing and trespassing in that incident.
