Wilmington – Wilmington Police have announced that Radee L Prince was arraigned just after 8:00 am, this morning. His bail was set at 2.1 million in cash. Charges stemming from the shooting that occurred in Wilmington include: Attempted Murder First Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.
Prince will face additional charges for the incident in Maryland.
Timeline of Events
8:30 – 9:00 am – Police say an argument occurs at Advanced Granite Solutions in the Emmorton Business Park in Edgewood, Maryland. Five employees are shot, killing three and critically injuring two. Police arrive within 4 minutes.
9:00 – 10:30 am – Police and rescue crews transport patients to Baltimore’s Shock Trauma in critical condition. Tactical teams sweep the area to locate the shooter with negative results. Hartford County authorities alert authorities in Elkton and Delaware that they are looking for Radee Prince and two associated vehicles, a black GMC Acadia and a red Dodge Charger. Maryland State Police, Elkton Police, along with ATF agents surround Prince’s previous residence on Clinton Street in Elkton. Simultaneously Delaware authorities are surrounding a previous residence in Stanton, Delaware.
10:46 am Wilmington Police receives call for shots fired at a car dealership in the 2800 block of Northeast Blvd. Police find man shot twice, a least once to the head, at that location. The man is able to describe the vehicle and the suspect. Police see the Acadia speed away but lose it on Maryland Avenue. Police quickly determine that the shooter is Prince, according to Police.
11:00 – 12:00 pm – Delaware authorities place area schools on lock down as they search for the suspect.
12:00 – 5:30 pm – Police search for the suspect and respond to tips from across New Castle County. Radio traffic indicated that police were tracking leads and responding to suspicious subject reports minute by minute.
5:30 – 6:00 pm – Police receive a tip that the suspect’s Acadia is parked on Cobble Creek Curv, near Glasgow High School. The witness said that the suspect walked towards the school before crossing over Route 896.
6:00 – 7:00 pm – An ambulance crew from the University of Delaware was dispatched to the area as a precaution. Plain clothed officers and federal agents then responded to the area behind the Shop Rite grocery store on Four Season Parkway and set up a perimeter. Agents from the ATF in an unmarked vehicle came upon Prince walking along the street. As the agents attempted to apprehend him he fled on foot, tossing a hand gun, according to police. The agents quickly caught up to Prince and took him into custody. At the same time, back across Route 896 on Cobble Creek Curv, agents with the DEA were observe clearing the Acadia with weapons drawn.
Prince was transported to Wilmington Police Headquarters were he is expected to face numerous charges including three counts of murder.
