Rollover Crash In Newark Sends One To Hospital

Newark – Just before 6:00 this evening rescue crews form Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, University of Delaware Emergency Care Unit, along with officers from the University of Delaware Police and Newark Police Departments responded to the intersection of Library Avenue and Wyoming Road for reports of a rollover crash with entrapment.

Arriving crews found a two vehicle crash with one of the vehicles rolled over onto its top. The other vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage.

Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of the rollover vehicle was pulled from the car by passing motorist before being transport to Christiana Hospital.

The intersection was closed for approximately 1 hour while crews cleared the scene.

No word on injuries at this time.
