Update: Route 4 Has Reopened In Newark

Update: 2:22 PM Newark Police have reopened the bridge to traffic. Expect delays.

Newark – Route 4 (Christina Parkway) is closed between South College Avenue and Elkton Road, due to emergency road repairs.

DelDOT crews are inspecting the bridge where a large pothole was observed earlier in the day. All traffic is being turned around, avoid the area.

Police are blocking off the road near Bloom Energy on one end and and Elkton Road on the other.
