Woman Killed In Head-On Collision In Wilmington, 1 In Critical

Wilmington – On Sunday, 29 October 2017, at approximately 2:03 am, Wilmington Police were summoned to the 1300 block of E. 12th Street for a report of motor vehicle collision, according to police.

Officials said the investigation revealed that a Honda Civic was travelling east bound on E. 12th Street and crossed over onto the west bound lane striking a Dodge Journey.

The operator of the Honda Civic, Lakisha Faison, 41, of the 1600 block of Coleman Street, Wilmington, succumbed to her injuries sustained in the collision.

A male passegner in the Honda Civic is currently in critical condition.

The three occupants in the Dodge Journey were treated at the Wilmington Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
