Happening Now: Rollover Crash On Barksdale Road In Newark

Newark – Crews from Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, along with officers from the  Newark Police Department responded to the intersection of and Barksdale and Valley Road for reports of a vehicle rollover.

Arriving crews found a white sedan that had rolled over at the W L Gore & Associates complex on Barksdale. Although the car rolled, took out the Gore sign and landed upside down in a ditch, no injuries were reported.

Reports from the scene indicate that the occupants were able to removes themselves before rescue crews arrived.

This accident comes just days after another car, in this same area of Barksdale Road, crashed and burned. That accident occurred on Thanksgiving Day just after 2:00 pm. in the 1900 block of Barksdale Road.

Officers responding to that accident reported that the car was on fire.  Arriving firefighters found the vehicle off the roadway and into the tree line. Crews worked to quickly bring the fire under control.

Reports from this crash scene indicated that no one was injured in that crash either.
