Happening Now: Two Vehicle Collision Knocks Out Power To 575 Customers In Hockessin


Hockessin – Crews from the Hockessin Fire Company have responded to Old Lancaster Pike for reports of a crash with injuries.

Responding crews found two vehicles with heavy damage and one person injured.

One patient was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Chief SaienniĀ from the Hockessin Fire Company.

At least one of the vehicles struck a utility pole, breaking it in half, and knocking out power for area residents.

Delmarva Power is reporting that 575 customers are without power.

Delmarva crews have just arrived on scene to begin their repair work.

Old Lancaster Pike is currently closed between Brackenville Road and Mill Creek Road.
