Shots Fired Into Beach House For A Second Time

Slaughter Beach – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an incident in which a shot was fired at a residence last evening on Bay Avenue, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred at approximately 6:16 p.m., Friday, November 24, 2017, at a residence in the 400 block of Bay Avenue. The homeowner was in his residence when he heard a gunshot outside followed by a vehicle speeding away. This is the second time in which this residence has been shot at. From this recent incident, there was one bullet hole that had penetrated through the front of the residence.

At this time there are no suspects, however an unknown red sedan was seen fleeing from the scene.

Fournier said the incident occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017, at a residence in the 400 block of Bay Avenue. The homeowner contacted 9-1-1 after he heard gunshots outside and when he went to investigate, he noticed a bullet hole in the front door of his residence. The homeowner was not injured as a result of this incident.
