Bridgeville Home Destroyed By Quick Moving Fire

Bridgeville – The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating this morning’s fire in Bridgeville, Delaware that destroyed a home, according to Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio.

Chionchio said the blaze, reported shortly before 9:00 am, occurred in the 15000 block of Blanchard Road near Bridgeville. The Bridgeville Fire Company arrived on the scene with flames shooting through the roof.

State fire investigators are on the scene searching for the fire’s origin and cause, said Chionchio. The home sustained major damage estimated at $300,000. There were no reported injuries.

This fire remains under investigation.
