Newark – Rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, along with New Castle County Paramedics and Delaware State Police have responded to South Collage Avenue/I-95 NB on-ramp for an accident involving a tractor trailer.
Arriving crews found a tractor trailer, hauling eggplant, turned on its side and blocking the roadway. It’s not clear if the driver got out on his own or if he was helped out by first responders.
The driver of the truck was checked out by Aetna’s A-10 ambulance crew, but was not transported to the hospital. He remained on scene to answer Trooper’s questions.
No injuries were reported. The on ramp remains closed as DelDOT crews work to remove the vehicle from the scene.
