Just in: Motorcycle Rider Injured In Crash, Chopper Requested

Claymont – Just before 1:00 this afternoon, rescue crews from the Claymont Fire Company responded to the 2000 block of  Longcome Drive for reports of a vehicle accident involving entrapment.

Upon arrival crews have notified dispatch that nobody is trapped but they do have a motorcycle rider injured.

Claymont Command has requested Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) to the scene for transport.

Area Fire Police are setting up a landing zone at a nearby elementary school.
