Dover – The Dover Police Department is investigating the shooting of a 23-year-old woman on Tuesday morning, according to Dover Police.
Officials said The shooting took place at this morning at December 5th, 2017 at approximately 12:22, in the Unit Block of S. New Street. The female victim was sitting in a parked vehicle with a 24-year-old male and a 1-year-old female when an unknown suspect fired several shots at the car. The woman was shot once in the torso.
Officers arrived on scene shortly after receiving several 911 calls of shots fired. A few minutes later, the female victim was reported to be at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where she underwent treatment for her injury. Officials did not indicate the severity of the woman’s injuries.
No other occupants were injured as a result.
