County Police Team Up With WPD To Take Down Suspected Drug Dealer

Wilmington – New Castle County Police Detectives have arrested 19-year-old Bryan Steger of the 2800 block of Washington Street for drug related offenses, according to Master Corporal Heather Carter.

Carter said during the month of November, Detectives from the New Castle County Police Drug Control Squad learned that Bryan Steger was selling drugs throughout New Castle County. During the course of the investigation, detectives established enough probable cause and search warrants were granted for the two residences associated with Bryan Steger in the City of Wilmington, according to Carter.

Friday, December 29, Members of the New Castle County Police Drug Control Squad and assisting units from the Wilmington Police Department (WPD) served simultaneous search warrants in the 2800 block of Washington Street and 2000 block of N Pine Sreet Bryan Steger was taken into custody without incident from the residence in the 2800 block of Washington Street.

Police seized approximately 10.8 grams of crack cocaine, 86 bags of heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, according to Carter. Detectives also located 9mm, .22 caliber ammunition and $565.00 in suspected drug proceeds, added Carter.

Bryan Steger was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver heroin, felony possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, felony possession of crack cocaine in a tier 1 quantity, misdemeanor possession of Marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institution after failing to pay $55,100.00 secured bond.
