Its Happened Again, Two More Victims Robbed At Gunpoint, This Time A 16-Year-Old

Georgetown  –  The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last evening in the Sandhill Acres, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred at approximately 10:58 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at a residence located in the unit block of Merganser Road. While two victims, a 16-year-old female, and a 22-year-old male were seated in the 16-year-old’s vehicle, parked in her driveway a vehicle had pulled in beside them.

A subject exited the vehicle and approached the victims. During this time, another subject armed with a handgun exited the vehicle and ordered the 22-year-old victim out of the car while demanding he turn over his wallet and cellphone, according to Jaffe. While the 22-year-old was being confronted by the suspect with the handgun, two more subjects exited the vehicle. The 22-year-old victim turned over his cellphone and wallet prior to all four suspects getting back into their vehicle and fleeing the scene, said Jaffe.

The first suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing a dark colored sweatshirt. The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, with a light colored bandana partially covering his face and displaying a handgun. The other two suspects that exited the vehicle could only be described as Hispanic males. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a white, four-door passenger car. No further suspect or vehicle information could be provided at this time. Both victims were not injured as a result of this incident.
