Bear – Rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, along with crews from the Delaware City Fire Company and Delaware State Police have responded to Route 1 SB, just before Route 72, for reports of an accident involving a tractor-trailer, reportedly carrying horses.
The accident has restricted lanes of Route 1 traffic near Governor Lea Road. Firefighters brought the scene under control approximately 30 minutes ago but the accident is still blocking the roadway. Not much is know about the accident at this time.
Traffic is at a standstill all the way back to the mall.
