Firefighters Respond To Newark’s Fairfield Neighborhood This Morning

Newark – At approximately 5:15 this morning firefighters with Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder along with crews from the Christiana Fire Company responded to the 200 block of  Hanover Place for reports of a possible structure fire.

Upon arrival, crews enter the home and reported an odor of smoke in the basement. After a short investigation crews determined that the cause of the smoke was a faulty light fixture.

Crews were on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
