Pedestrian Struck On South Chapel Street In Newark

Newark –  Just after 6:00 this evening crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with New Castle County Paramedics, Newark Police and the University of Delaware Police responded to South Chapel Street at Lovett Avenue for reports a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, crews found one patient that had been struck by a small sedan. Medics were observed evaluating the patient inside of a nearby apartment building entrance. Reports from the scene indicate that the patient declined to be transported.
