Police Impersonators Kick Open Front Door, Family Dog Engages

File

Dover – Multiple suspects attempted a residential burglary in the 100 Block of Teak Court on Tuesday morning. At approximately 1:55 AM, 3-4 black male suspects kicked the front door open to a residence and yelled “Dover Police”, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said as soon as the front door was kicked open, the family dog charged towards the door, causing the suspects to flee eastbound on foot towards the Lexington Glen development. The suspects did not make entry into the residence.

Police have not publicly connected this case with the other two home invastions that occured around the same time.
