Dover – The Dover Police Department arrested 50-year-old Douglas Curry on child pornography charges on Monday, February 19th, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

Hoffman said Curry took his cellphone to a Metro PCS store to have some work performed on it, when the employee noticed several photos of juvenile females. The employee notified police, who seized the phone as evidence, and took Curry into custody without incident, said Hoffman.

Dover police are alleging that Curry purchased the images from various websites and had spoken to underage females as well, according to Hoffman. Curry, of Dover, was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $40,500 cash bond on charges of Dealing in Child Pornography, Possession of Child Pornography and Sexual Solicitation of a Child.
