Shuckers Shrimp Stealing Suspect Sought

Lewes – The Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the above suspect who is wanted in connection with the theft of shrimp, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said the incident occurred on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at approximately 8:10 p.m., when the suspect entered a walk-in freezer at the rear of JD Shuckers restaurant located at 20750 John J. Williams Highway.

Troopers responded to the restaurant on Thursday, February 8, 2018, and made contact with the manager. The manager advised that after becoming aware that shrimp was missing, she reviewed the video surveillance cameras and came across the suspect walking in the freezer and then approximately two minutes later walking out of the freezer carrying a 5lb. bag of shrimp, according to Jaffe.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing glasses and overalls.
