Head-On Collision On Naaman’s Road, One Trapped, Another Ejected

Claymont – Rescue crews, along with Delaware State Police have responded to Naamans Road in the area of Peach Tree Lane for reports of a crash with entrapment. Firefighters are reporting that one person is trapped and another has been ejected from the vehicle.

It’s believed that multiple patients are severely injured.

Naamans Road is currently shutdown.

Update: 9:24 PM – Command has just learned that two additional vehicles may have been involved in the accident. Those vehicles are further up the road. Additional crews are responding to the area.

Update:  9:27 PM – State Police just released the following statement:

Delaware State Police are currently on scene of a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:51 p.m., Friday, March 09, 2018, which has the intersection of Naamans Road and Peachtree Lane closed.

Motorists should expect delays in the area and are asked to seek alternate routes of travel.

Update: 9:37 PM It’s believed that there may be as many as five patients.
