Bear – Just after 2:00 this afternoon crews from the Delaware City Fire Company responded to the intersection at Kirkwood Saint Georges Road and Mccoy Road for reports of a school bus into a utility pole.
Initial reports indicated that wires were down around the bus.
Upon arrival, crews determined that there was no damage to the pole and no wires were down.
The bus sustained heavy damage to the right side. It’s believed that the bus glanced off of the pole before crossing over to the other side of the road, where it became stuck in the mud.
It’s also believed that no students were on the bus. No injuries were reported.
