Newark – Just after 8:15 Sunday morning, March 11, Newark Police responded to Newark Chrysler Jeep Dodge, located at 244 E Cleveland Avenue, for reports that the business had been burglarized.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that a cleaning crew called police after discovering evidence that a burglary had occurred. At this point police will not confirm what the thief or thieves made off with, but it is believed to be meaningful.
Shortly after police arrived on scene several employees began to show up to the dealership to deal with the incident. Police remained on scene for approximately two and a half hours as they investigated.
Police have confirmed that they are investigating the incident but have yet to release any official details.
