Police Surround Home In Newark With Guns Drawn

Newark – Just after 4:45 this afternoon Newark Police Officers surrounded a home near West Park Elementary. Officers were observed across the street (W. Park Place) from the school with their service weapons drawn.

Police have yet to release details surrounding the incident. Early reports indicate that a firearm may have involved in the incident.

Officers are questioning several people in the area. One person has been taken into custody.

We’re expecting an update from the Newark Police Department soon.
