Newark – Newark Police have updated a story we first brought you on Sunday April 22, 2018.
At approximately 12:35 a.m. on Sunday the Newark Police responded to the 100 block of Thorn Lane for a report of an armed robbery, according to Sgt. Gerald Bryda.
Bryda said the two victims, a 19-year-old male and a 29-year-old male, were standing in front of the entrance to an apartment building.
They advised that an unknown male approached them wearing a dark mask covering his face, while pointing a handgun at them demanding money. The unknown suspect fled on foot with one of the victim’s cell phones.
The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6’00” with a thin build, wearing a dark jacket, light colored pants and a dark mask.
