Bear – Just before 6:00 this afternoon rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, along with New Castle County Paramedics, Delaware State Police and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to the intersection of Robert Peoples Blvd and Howell School Road, Caravel Woods, for reports of a motorcycle accident.
Upon arrival, crews found a seriously injury rider in need of medical treatment. Early indications are that the rider may have impacted the newly constructed concrete roundabout (traffic circle).
The motorcycle came to rest in the grass, on the other side of the traffic circle.
Medics and ambulance crews treated the patient at the scene transporting them via trooper 4 to the Trauma Center with undetermined injuries.
