Delaware Immigration Field Office To Discontinue Some Services

Officials announced this morning that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) field support office, located at 250 Gateway South Blvd., Suite 260, in Dover, will close on Friday, June 15.

The services that will no longer be available in the Dover facility will be general information inquiries, individual case status inquiries and form requests, said USCIS Public Affairs Officer, Jane Cowley. Dover area applicants will still be able to schedule biometric and fingerprint appointments in the facility.

Interviews for applicants and petitioners from the Dover area will continue to be scheduled at the Philadelphia Field Office. Crowley said as a support office, the Dover office has not offered full immigration services that are offered at the Philadelphia field office (such as immigration interviews) so that will not be a change.

“It’s a small change, but we’d like applicants to be aware of it.”, added Crowley.

In order to support local applicants and petitioners, there will be a transitional period from June 18 – 29, during which the Dover facility will continue to provide some general information and services, including a kiosk to allow applicants to schedule appointments in Philadelphia.

After June 29, applicants and petitioners from the Dover area will be able to access information and services, including case status inquiries, form requests and general information inquiries at the USCIS Philadelphia Field Office. Applicants and petitioners may also take advantage of the USCIS online services at uscis.gov or call the USCIS contact center number at (800) 375-5283.

The USCIS Philadelphia Field Office is located at 30 N 41 St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19104, and is open to serve applicants and petitioners Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Individuals wishing to schedule an appointment at the Philadelphia Field Office should visit uscis.gov.
