New Castle County Police have arrested 32-year-old Emanual Carr for multiple thefts from motor vehicles in the community of Llangollen Estates, according to police.
Officials said Friday (May 25) at 4:54 a.m., New Castle County patrol officers were dispatched to the community of Llangollen Estates, in New Castle, in reference to the report of a male subject checking car door handles.
When officers arrived on scene to conduct a search in the unit block of Hodgkins Place, they observed a black male running away from them, according to police. Police learned that (6) vehicles throughout the community were reported to be broken into.
Officers were able to locate surveillance video of the suspect and he was positively identified by police as Emanual Carr of the 500 block of South DuPont Highway. Patrol officers responded to his residence where he was taken into custody without further incident.
Emanual Carr was charged with (9) counts of misdemeanor attempted theft, (1) count of felony attempted theft and (6) counts of felony burglary. He was arraigned and committed to Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to pay $14,750.00 secured and $5,100.00 cash bonds. Carr was issued a not contact order.
