Police, Ambulance Crews Respond To Reports Of A Stabbing In Newark’s Brookside Community

Newark – Just before 9:00 this morning, New Castle County Police (NCCPD), along with ambulance crews from Aetna, Hose, Hook and Ladder responded to the Brookside Community, for reports of a stabbing.

Early reports indicate that the person may have been stabbed at a different location prior to them calling 911.

At this time, we are withholding the location and the street name to allow authorities time to investigate. The general location is just blocks away from the Lieutenant Joseph L. Szczerba (NCCPD) Police Academy.

On Tuesday, May 15, 2018 County Police and Paramedics, along with Aetna ambulance crews responded to reports of a stabbing a few streets away from this current incident. That incident occurred on Meadow Lane in Brookside.

County Police have not released details regarding that incident.
