State Police, FBI, ATF And Bomb Squad Investigate Suspicious Package In Newark Neighborhood, Few Details Released

Newark – Delaware State Police are currently investigating a potential suspicious device at residence in the Country Creek development.

The preliminary investigation occurred on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 when Troopers responded to the unit block of Hunting Ridge Road in reference to information received of a possible suspicious device.  Precautionary measures were taken and the immediate surrounding neighbors were evacuated.

Officials from the State Police, FBI, ATF, State Police EOD Unit and the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office were on scene during the incident. Officials have released few details.
