Delaware National Guard Fire Department Responds To Crash Near Airport

Just after 8:45 this morning, Sunday, June 10, 2018, rescue crews from the Delaware Air Guard Fire Department, along with crews from the Wilmington Manor Fire Company and New Castle Count Police responded to the area of Basin Road and West Commons Blvd.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that crews found one vehicle off the roadway into the treeline.

As the vehicle left the roadway it struck a fire hydrant causing the roadway to flood, according to reports. The water has partially blocked the right turn lane at West Commons Blvd. onto Basin Road SB.

No injuries have been reported.
