Firefighters Respond To House Fire Near Prices Corner, Reports Of Resident Trapped

Just before 9:30 this evening, Sunday, June 24, 2018, firefighters from the Cranston Height Fire Company, along with crews from several other area fire companies have responded to the 200 block of Rhode Island Ave for reports of a residential structure fire.

Responding crews are being told that one person is reported to be trapped.

Upon arrival, crews reported smoke showing from the front of the structure. Firefighters are reporting one person injured and have requested an ambulance to the scene.

Crews are working to to locate the the source of the fire.

Command has placed the fire under control.

Elsmere, Mill Creek, Minquas, Belvedere, Five Points and Hockessin Fire Companies have responded.
